The Crusaders D1 and D3 each had a couple of Bye weeks over the past 4 weeks but also had 2 scheduled 2 games each.
9/16/23 – D3 took on the 2nd Place South Pittsburg Hooligans who prove to be a strong contender this year. The d3 Squad took a little bit of a beating during this game losing 59-14.
9/23/23 – D1 was forced to forfeit to the Cincinnati Wolfhoods as the per the Midwest League rules we did not have the required number for front row players. We did not get the chance to play them as Cincinnati opted not to play a friendly with uncontested scrums. It will officially go in the league record as a 28-0 Loss.
9/30/23 – D1 Took on the the Pittsburg Forge who they narrowly lost to at the beginning of the year. This time the crusader could not pull out a win. Loosing by a score of 31-19. The game was closer than the score indicated. with few costly mistake and turnover in the opponent’s redzone being the main difference maker. This D1 squad was made up of sever young players receiving their first or second D1 Caps. The team will look to continue to grow these young talents and the cohesion as a unit in the final three weeks of the season.
9/30/23 – D3 was forced to forfeit after we didn’t have enough players to travel after supplementing the D1 Squad. It will officially be ruled a forfeit and be recorded as a 28-0 Loss in league play.
